The new Eagle Mountain Casino is 105,000 square feet with approximately 1,750 slot and video poker machines, 20 table games, a 2,000-seat event center, two bars (alcohol is new here), and a variety of dining options including a diner, food court, coffee house and steakhouse. The official grand opening/phase one was held on May 9th, 2023. Two years after the groundbreaking, the casino opened on April 19, 2023, at a cost of $180-$200 million. The new venue moved approximately 17 miles down the mountain near the Porterville Municipal Airport on a 40-acre site, off Highway 65, next to the Porterville Fairgrounds. The casino that opened in 1996 was located on the Tule River Reservation in the foothills. In April 2021, the Tule River Indian Tribe broke ground on the new, full-service Eagle Mountain Casino in Porterville, California.
